Moon.com Fees: 1% to Open, 10% Minimum on Profit

Short answer

Documented, with gaps: Moon's documents state its opening and performance fees, but not a holding-fee rate.

As of October 2026, Moon.com charges a 1% opening fee on each wager and a performance fee of at least 10% on realized profit. The largest gap in Moon's documents is that they state no rate and no charging interval for the periodic holding fees that the terms allow. Anyone below the legal minimum age, anyone in a country on Moon's prohibited list, and anyone who cannot afford to lose the whole wager must not use Moon.

Moon.com is a betting platform where users wager on whether an asset price goes up or down with leverage, Moon takes the other side of every bet, and Moon International Limited runs it.

What fees does Moon.com charge?

Moon.com charges fees when a bet opens and when a bet closes at a profit. Moon's help center names those same moments as the source of fees. The terms of service list further charges, such as holding fees and withdrawal fees, and refer to a Fee Schedule that Moon publishes and may amend.

On Moon.com, a user picks an asset, sets a wager and leverage, and bets on whether the price goes up or down. Moon's terms name Moon International Limited as the company that runs Moon.com. The same terms call Moon the House, meaning the principal counterparty to every bet on the platform. Moon's terms describe the performance fee as the House's principal edge on bets. The full Moon.com review covers the operator and its license status in more detail.

Moon's terms require users to pay every fee that applies to the service. The list in the terms names the performance fee, betting fees, holding fees, withdrawal fees and any other charge in the Fee Schedule. Moon defines the Fee Schedule as the list of service fees that it publishes and amends on the platform. The performance fee sits on top of the other fees in that schedule, not in place of them.

Moon's terms bind a user to the Fee Schedule as part of the Agreement, along with the terms, the privacy policy and the risk disclosure statement. The binding starts when a user creates an account, clicks to agree, or uses any part of the service. The help center adds that the profit and loss on an open bet already includes fees and execution costs.

How much is the Moon.com opening fee?

The Moon.com opening fee is 1% of the wager, as of October 2026. Moon's help center says the fee is charged each time a new bet opens. The fee uses only the capital a user commits to the bet. Moon does not apply it to the full leveraged exposure.

Moon's help center gives a worked example of the opening fee. In that example, as of October 2026, a user opens a position with a $1,000 wager and selects 10x leverage. The market exposure of that position is $10,000. Even so, Moon calculates the opening fee on the $1,000 wager alone, and the fee comes to $10. Moon's betting glossary repeats the same example with the same figures.

The opening fee appears in the wager summary area before a user confirms the bet. Moon's betting glossary describes the same display and calls it the trade summary area. On Moon's affiliate page, users pay a 1% fee on their wager amount for every new bet. The glossary also says the 1% open fee applies each time a user flips a position.

Moon's terms define a bet as a wager on the price movement of a market, with the wager and leverage chosen by the user. The help center defines the wager as the amount of capital a user commits to the bet. The opening fee stays tied to that wager, not to the total leveraged exposure. Moon offers leverage of up to 1000x as of October 2026, and a separate Moon Legit page covers that setting.

How does the Moon.com performance fee work?

The Moon.com performance fee applies to realized profit, with a minimum of 10% of that profit, as of October 2026. Moon's help center also calls it the ROI fee. The fee may apply when a position closes at a profit, and Moon takes it out before settlement.

Moon's terms say the performance fee is the House's principal edge on bets. The definitions in the terms point to Section 9.2 for the full performance fee rules. The terms base the fee on short-term movements in the market price. Moon applies it to the profit of a bet before crediting the payout, at rates set in the Fee Schedule and the product specifications.

Moon's help center says any performance fee is deducted from the wager proceeds before settlement. The final amount a user receives already reflects that deduction. Moon's affiliate page describes a dynamic fee that depends on the total wager size and on how much the asset has gained in value. Moon's leverage guide also notes that profit from a leveraged bet is subject to Moon's fee structure.

The terms ban any technique that aims to avoid or reduce the performance fee described in Section 9.2. The same clause bans strategies that exploit latency, pricing delays or feed anomalies. Arbitrage on the way Moon builds or conveys its quoted prices is banned too. The ban also covers any method meant to remove or greatly reduce a user's downside risk on a bet.

Does Moon.com charge fees on losing bets?

Moon.com charges no performance fee on a losing bet, according to its help center. The performance fee applies to realized profit. The opening fee is a separate charge, taken when a new bet opens. Moon's terms cap the loss on any bet at the wager.

Moon's terms say the maximum loss on any bet is always limited to the wager, with details in Section 8.6. A user never owes any amount beyond the wager because of a bust. The terms define a bust as the automatic settlement of a bet as lost once the market price reaches the bet's bust price. When that happens, the wager goes to the House.

The bust price is the price level at which Moon settles a bet as lost. The wager and the leverage of the bet set that level. Moon shows the bust price before the user confirms the bet. Moon's leverage guide says the max loss price is shown before a user confirms any bet. The terms add that the payout profile appears at the same moment.

When an erroneous price or another platform issue closes, settles or busts an open bet, the terms say that outcome stands and is final. Section 7.3(b) of the terms governs a bust triggered by such an issue. Moon's terms also warn that a user can lose the entire wager rapidly, including through a bust. The same warning says a user can never lose more than the wager.

What are Moon.com holding fees?

Moon.com holding fees are periodic charges that Moon's terms allow on bets kept open. The terms say Moon calculates and charges them as set out in the product specifications on the platform. Moon's documents do not state a holding-fee rate or a charging interval.

Moon's terms say the product specifications behind holding fees may be amended from time to time. The fee list in the terms names holding fees next to the performance fee, betting fees and withdrawal fees. Users agree in the terms to pay all of those fees as set out in the Fee Schedule. Moon may amend the Fee Schedule at any time by posting an updated version on the platform.

Moon's fee article in the help center explains the opening fee and the performance fee. Moon's documents do not state a holding-fee rate. They also do not state how often a holding fee is charged. The terms point to product specifications on the platform for the holding-fee method. Moon Legit gives no holding-fee figure of its own, because Moon's documents do not supply one.

The terms word the clause as a possibility: open bets may be subject to periodic holding fees. The clause does not promise that every open bet carries one. Moon's terms also make the user solely responsible for watching open bets at all times. Moon has no duty to warn before a bet nears its bust price, though it may send a notice as a courtesy.

Where does Moon.com show its fees?

Moon.com shows the applicable fee in the wager summary area before a user confirms a bet. Moon's help center also points users to a fee modal that shows what they would pay in different scenarios. The terms add that the payout profile and the bust price appear before confirmation.

Moon's help center article on fees carries the title Moon Fees & Bet Execution. The article says it explains how Moon calculates fees, how it displays position values, and how it builds market liquidity into closing a position. A section of the article lists the applicable performance fees. The same article invites users to test the fees through a fees menu on the platform.

Moon says the profit and loss on a position already includes fees and execution costs throughout its life. The help center contrasts that with platforms that show profit before those costs. Final proceeds may differ slightly from the displayed value because market conditions change between viewing and execution. Moon says the gap is more likely with higher leverage, and that the shown value aims to track the expected payout closely.

Moon's help center says applicable fees, liquidity adjustments and estimated proceeds are built into the wagering experience and shown wherever possible. The help center says the goal is to help users make informed decisions. Moon's leverage guide adds that the max loss price appears before a user confirms any bet. Moon's terms also say the payout profile is visible before a user confirms.

Can Moon.com change or refund its fees?

Moon.com can change its fees, because its terms let Moon amend the Fee Schedule at any time by posting a new version on the platform. Fees are generally non-refundable. The exception is where the law requires a refund or the Fee Schedule expressly allows one.

Section 10.1 of Moon's terms lets Moon offer fee rebates, referral rewards or other promotions. Moon decides at its sole discretion whether to make any such offer. Each promotion carries its own terms, published at the time of the offer, and those terms become part of the Agreement. Once Moon activates rakeback on an account, it returns 3.5% of the fees paid, as of October 2026.

Moon's terms cap its total liability to a user for any claim under the Agreement. The cap is the greater of the total fees the user paid Moon.com in the 3 months before the event, or USD 100. That USD 100 figure can also be the equivalent in the supported currency in which the user paid fees. The cap applies to the fullest extent the law permits, whether the claim is in contract, tort or otherwise.

If Moon charges a fee in error, its terms say Moon will correct the error and adjust the account. A user who fails to pay fees when due agrees to repay Moon's reasonable collection costs, legal fees included. The terms also make a user cover Moon's losses and reasonable legal fees from claims tied to the user's breach, a legal violation, or use of the service.

Does Moon.com charge dormancy or withdrawal fees?

Moon.com may charge a dormancy fee, and withdrawal fees appear in its list of charges. Moon's terms name withdrawal fees among the fees users agree to pay. Under the same terms, withdrawals carry network fees and face identity verification, AML/CTF (anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing) checks, limits and processing times.

Moon's terms allow a dormancy fee, set out in the Fee Schedule, on accounts with no login or betting activity for 12 months in a row. After reasonable notice to the registered email address, Moon may close a dormant account. The remaining balance is then handled under Moon's dormancy policy, subject to unclaimed-property laws. The terms leave the amount of the dormancy fee to the Fee Schedule.

Under Moon's terms, every withdrawal request is subject to identity verification and AML/CTF checks. Minimum and maximum limits, network fees and processing times also apply, as published on the platform. Moon's help center requires approval of KYC, the know-your-customer identity check, before a user can withdraw funds. Moon accepts deposits in cryptocurrency only, according to the help center. Withdrawals at or above a review threshold that Moon sets get extra automated screening before release.

When an account closes, Moon will make reasonable efforts to help the user withdraw any remaining balance. That help depends on finishing any outstanding verification, legal holds or fees owed. Moon's terms let Moon take any fee straight from the account balance or from a payout. Under the terms, users must keep a balance large enough to cover the fees that apply.

What we could not verify

Moon Legit could not verify the holding-fee method, account behavior, payout speed or support quality on Moon.com. No writer opened a Moon account, placed a bet or paid a fee. Moon Legit checked 26 Moon pages, all retrieved on October 18, 2026: 23 English help center articles and 3 other pages on Moon.com.

No holding-fee rate appears in Moon's documents, and no charging interval appears either. Moon's terms leave the method to product specifications on the platform, which Moon may amend. Moon Legit publishes no holding-fee number for that reason. A reader who sees a holding-fee figure elsewhere can compare it against Moon's own terms and help center. Moon Legit did not see how a holding fee would show up in the balance of an open bet.

Fee deductions on real bets were not observed. Moon's help center gives a minimum for the performance fee. The terms place the actual rates in the Fee Schedule and the product specifications. The exact rate on any given winning bet stays unverified. Moon may also amend the Fee Schedule at any time by posting a new version.

A separate Moon Legit page covers how Moon's referral codes work. Moon Legit did not test payout speed, withdrawal handling or the quality of Moon's support team. Those points need direct account use, which this review did not include. Account behavior, such as how quickly fees appear in the balance, also stays untested. Moon Legit also did not check how the fees menu or fee modal behaves on a live account.
